Shanty House 2017

This project focuses on recreating memories from my childhood. Even though I was born and raised English, based on my appearance people have often labeled me as Jamaican even though I have not been there for more than a decade. In response I created this installation arranged as if it were a scene from one of my memories which I believe best portrays my relationship with this country.
